At the counter
Check the sale total with the customer before choosing Cash. Enter the amount actually received and check the change due before completing the sale. A record is useful only if it matches the cash that changed hands.
- Review the sale and total.
- Select Cash and enter the amount received.
- Check the change due, give the change and complete the record.
Avoid duplicate records
If the app is interrupted, look for the sale in your records before trying to complete it again. Note the original time and amount. A second record can make your cash-up look higher than the cash physically received.
At the end of the shift
Compare cash sales with the cash counted and your opening cash position. Keep any other cash movements separate and explain differences in the records available to your role. Cash sales do not credit a crypto wallet or card settlement account.
A mistake needs correction
Retain the original sale reference and describe the correct amount. Ask an authorised manager or support how to correct the record using the controls available to you. Do not create a fake crypto or card payment to balance a cash difference.
